02 / How We Work

How Abricos Glass manages your project.

Custom glass work requires accurate measurements, appropriate system selection, supplier coordination, and careful installation.

01

Project Review

We review photographs, plans, site conditions, intended use, project location, design goals, and schedule requirements to identify practical glazing options.

02

Field Measurement & Design Coordination

When the project is ready, we verify critical dimensions, openings, mounting conditions, clearances, finished surfaces, and hardware locations. When engineering, architectural review, or specialty documentation is required, it is coordinated with the responsible project professionals.

03

Glass & Hardware Coordination

Approved dimensions and specifications are submitted to qualified glass fabricators and hardware suppliers. Glass type, thickness, edgework, holes, notches, coatings, hardware, and finishes are confirmed before materials are ordered.

04

Professional Installation

Our team installs the approved glass and hardware, performs required adjustments, protects surrounding finishes, and reviews the completed glazing scope with the client.

Installation protocol.

Project review, field measurement, written scope, fabrication coordination, installation.

  1. 01

    Initial Project Review

We discuss what you want to install, where it goes, and what the opening or structure looks like today.

  2. 02

    Photographs, Plans and Approximate Dimensions

Photos, drawings if they exist, and rough dimensions let us assess the project before anyone travels to the site.

  3. 03

Site Visit and Final Field Measurement

When the project requires it, we measure on site against the actual substrate rather than working from nominal dimensions.

  4. 04

    Written Scope and Estimate

You receive a written description of the work and an estimate. Anything not listed in that scope is not included.

  5. 05

    Glass and Hardware Coordination

Glass and hardware are specified and ordered through qualified suppliers.

  6. 06

    Fabrication Coordination

Approved dimensions and specifications are released to the fabricator. Abricos Glass does not fabricate glass in-house.

  7. 07

    Delivery and Installation

Material is delivered and installed by our installation team.

  8. 08

    Final Adjustment and Walkthrough

Hardware is adjusted, the installation is cleaned, and we review the completed work with you.

  9. 09

Warranty or Follow-Up as Defined in the Agreement

Any warranty or follow-up service is exactly what the signed agreement for your project states — nothing is implied beyond it.

07 / FAQ

Answers, up front.

Common questions from Colorado homeowners, builders, and architects.

How much do frameless glass railings cost?

Cost depends on system type, glass thickness and make-up, hardware finish, substrate and anchorage, and site access — there is no single per-foot number that holds across projects. Our journal explains the variables that move a railing budget, and pricing for your scope is set in a written, itemized proposal.

How long does a typical glass installation take?

Duration depends on scope, glass make-up and supplier fabrication schedules, which we confirm before ordering rather than promise up front. Residential enclosures are typically short installs once glass is on site; commercial storefront and curtain wall scopes run longer. Dates for your project are set in the written schedule agreed with you.

Do you handle permits and code compliance?

Permit and inspection responsibilities are defined according to the project scope, jurisdiction, and written agreement. Abricos Glass or Abricos LLC may assist with permit coordination when it is included in the written proposal.

How does payment work?

Payment terms are set in the written agreement for each project. Ask during your consultation and we will explain the terms that apply to your scope.

Can your glass systems withstand Colorado weather?

Glass and hardware are selected for the intended use and site conditions — including UV exposure, thermal cycling, and wind load — using tempered, laminated, or low-E insulated units matched to each application.

Are you licensed and insured?

Abricos Glass is the architectural glass division of Abricos LLC, a Colorado general contracting company. Colorado does not issue a statewide glazing contractor license; licensing requirements are set by each jurisdiction. Ask us for current insurance certificates and any municipal license that applies to your project.
