How a glass project runs.
Project review, field measurement, written scope, fabrication coordination, installation.
The steps below describe what Abricos Glass actually does on a project. Anything outside the written scope for your project — engineering, permitting, testing, or work belonging to another trade — is identified before work begins rather than assumed.
Initial Project Review
We discuss what you want to install, where it goes, and what the opening or structure looks like today.
- Understand the scope, location, and intended use
- Identify whether the work is residential or commercial
- Confirm whether Abricos Glass is the right fit for the request
Photographs, Plans and Approximate Dimensions
Photos, drawings if they exist, and rough dimensions let us assess the project before anyone travels to the site.
- Photographs of the opening, framing, or existing glass
- Architectural or contractor drawings when available
- Approximate width, height, and any known constraints
Site Visit and Final Field Measurement
When the project requires it, we measure on site against the actual substrate rather than working from nominal dimensions.
- Field measurement taken to the finished substrate
- Review of access, staging, and existing conditions
- Confirmation of what must be complete before measuring
Written Scope and Estimate
You receive a written description of the work and an estimate. Anything not listed in that scope is not included.
- Written scope describing the work to be performed
- Materials, glass type, and hardware identified
- Exclusions and responsibilities stated in writing
Glass and Hardware Coordination
Glass and hardware are specified and ordered through qualified suppliers.
- Glass type, thickness, and coating confirmed
- Hardware finish and configuration selected
- Supplier lead times confirmed before ordering
Fabrication Coordination
Approved dimensions and specifications are released to the fabricator. Abricos Glass does not fabricate glass in-house.
- Approved field dimensions submitted for fabrication
- Edgework, holes, notches, and cutouts confirmed
- Delivery and protective handling coordinated
Delivery and Installation
Material is delivered and installed by our installation team.
- Scheduled delivery coordinated with site readiness
- Installation performed to the agreed written scope
- Site kept clean and finishes protected during work
Final Adjustment and Walkthrough
Hardware is adjusted, the installation is cleaned, and we review the completed work with you.
- Door, hinge, and hardware adjustment
- Cleaning of installed glass and surrounding area
- Walkthrough against the agreed written scope
Warranty or Follow-Up as Defined in the Agreement
Any warranty or follow-up service is exactly what the signed agreement for your project states — nothing is implied beyond it.
- Coverage defined in the signed agreement for your project
- Manufacturer coverage passed through where applicable
- Follow-up requests handled through our normal contact channels
Written scope before work begins.
Scope, materials and exclusions are put in writing so there is no disagreement later about what was included. If conditions on site differ from what we measured or were shown, we raise it before proceeding.
Field Measurement
Measurements are taken to the actual substrate when the project requires it, not from nominal dimensions.
Written Scope
You receive a written scope and estimate. Work not listed in it is not part of the project.
Installation & Adjustment
Installation, hardware adjustment, cleaning and a walkthrough against the agreed scope.
