Frameless Patio Glazing in Lone Tree, CO

Frameless patio glazing · Private residence · Lone Tree, CO · October 2026

Abricos Glass glazed the covered upper-level terrace of this private residence in Lone Tree, Colorado. Floor-to-ceiling, minimally framed glass panels were fitted within the existing terrace openings on the front and the side, beneath the existing roof and between the existing posts. The deck, the posts and the exterior horizontal metal guardrails were retained. The panels are operable, so the terrace can be closed with glass or opened back up to the view. The photographs on this page were taken before and after the work and were supplied by Abricos Glass. The project was completed in October 2026.

Scope Shown in the Photographs

Before the work, the upper terrace was a covered deck open on two sides, with dark posts carrying the roof and a horizontal metal guardrail along the edge. The glazing was fitted inside those existing openings rather than replacing them: the panels run from the deck up to the underside of the roof on the front elevation and on the side, and the roof, posts, deck boards and guardrail all stay as they were.

Because the panels sit within the openings, the terrace keeps its original outline from the outside. In the after photographs the glass reads as a continuous plane between the posts, with only slim lines at the head, the base and the panel joints.

Closed or Open

The panels are operable. Closed, they form a glass line across the front and side of the terrace. Opened, they move aside and leave the opening clear, so the terrace can be used as an open deck again. The panels-open photograph shows the same terrace with the front opening cleared behind the existing guardrail.

What the Photographs Do Not Show

A photograph can show the finished appearance, the extent of the glazing and what was kept. It cannot show the glass make-up, the hardware or system manufacturer, or how the enclosure performs in weather, and we do not state those here. The before and after views are taken from similar but not identical positions, so they are presented as separate labelled photos rather than as an overlay comparison.

If you are considering glazing a covered patio, deck or terrace, those details are confirmed for your own opening during the site review and written into the proposal.
